Kid Friendly Tooth Care

In addition to dental checkups and exams, brushing your teeth helps maintain overall dental health. Mashable listed a handful of products that received rave reviews from parents of toddlers, so we thought we would share our favorites with you.

Spinbrush Tooth Tunes made by Arm & Hammer plays two minutes of your kids favorite music like “We will Rock You”  by Queen,” I Got a Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas and ” Round and Round “ by Selena Gomez. You can encourage your kids to keep brushing until the music stops, which helps teach them that the best way to brush properly is to keep brushing for two full minutes.

The GUM brand Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush has a fun suction cup on the bottom so kids can stick it on their counter! This handy toothbrush flashes a light for two minutes to give kids a visual to keep on brushing until the light stops blinking, again reinforcing brushing for a specific period of time. GUM also makes a Star Wars Power Toothbrush, so your kids can act like a Jedi and keep their teeth clean!

If it’s your teenager who isn’t brushing well, have them download the Brush DJ App – which will play music for a set period of time to remind them to keep on brushing. This app can remind you of dentist appointments, when it’s time to change your toothbrush and it will even remind you to floss and use mouthwash.
